Our Journey

2021

Project Genesis

Started development of Valorous (now Fragmented Echoes) from scratch in Unity. Two co-founders, one vision — build a souls-like action RPG that blends sci-fi and dark fantasy.

2022

Core Systems

Built the foundation: UI framework, animation system, core game mechanics, and combat prototype. First playable builds tested internally.

2023

World Building

Level design and environment art for Nogias City and early multiverse zones. Weapon system with 4-slot quick-switching implemented. Community Discord launched.

2024

The Refinement

Overhauled the animation system for fluid, souls-like combat feel. Upgraded rendering pipeline to Unity HDRP — photorealistic lighting, volumetric effects, and cinematic visuals.

2025

Polish & Expansion

Bug fixes, performance optimization, and system stability. Rebranded from Valorous to Fragmented Echoes. Steam page launched, press coverage from 80 Level and others.

2026 Current

Content & Launch Prep

Expanding content: camera behaviors, animation sequences, dialogue systems, new level designs. Core framework functional — focused on making every detail count before release.
